Like most quilters, Becky & Linda learned to piece quilts before they learned to appliqué. They have never lost their love of pieced quilts. They treasure the skills that they learned early on.

They wrote this book with the hope that it becomes a much used resource book — for beginners as well as for quilters of all skill levels. They have done their best to share with you classic, fundamental quilting skills. Once mastered, these are the skills that you can use in every quilt you make.

If you are a beginner, never fear. They begin with very basic information about color, fabric, and tools. The sewing begins with simple (but pretty!) quilts made from strips. The skills presented are built upon each other, chapter by chapter.
